The goal is to use what the aquarium has learned about marine mammals to save wild animals in danger (many times of extinction). Once they bring affected animals to the rescue center, they treat them -- as in a hospital -- and then release them back into the wild. The program works hand-in-hand with U.S. Fish and Wildlife and other government entities to target and save endangered species.
